Edna M. McDermott, 79, of Sebastian, passed away on March 30, 2016.
She is survived by her sister Jane (Jack) Scannell; her four children Bonnie (Jeffrey) Zanger, Sherrie (Steve/Mote) VanDyke, Scott (Diane) McDermott, Dale (Robin) McDermott as well as five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband of more than 52 years, Francis W. McDermott.
McDermott was an organist and choir director in Esperance, N.Y. for 27 years and for the past 13 years in Sebastian.
Her love of music, her association with the churches and square dancing have contributed to the many wonderful friends she made over the years including a few very cherished childhood friends that she has stayed in touch with as well as special neighbors and friends that have taken very good care of her.
Memorial services will be held in Florida and Upstate New York; dates to be determined.
