Dorothy J. Elsmore, 82, of Vero Beach, passed away on March 19, 2016, at her home and surrounded by her family.
She is survived by her daughter Sue Davis of Vero Beach; twin granddaughters, Jenny Davis and Shellie Davis of Vero Beach; brother Cliff Close of England; six nieces of both England and Canada.
She was predeceased by her husband Ken Elsmore; son Robert Elsmore; and brother Derek Close.
Elsmore was born in Dagenham, Essex, England to the late Robert and Olive Close.
She was the founder of Elgin Marble, Inc. along with her husband, Ken Elsmore who passed away in 1996.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to VNA Hospice of the Treasure Coast, 1110 35th Ln, Vero Beach, FL 32960.
There will be a funeral service held at 2 p.m., Friday, April 8, 2016 at Thomas S. Lowther Funeral Home, 1655 27th Street, Vero Beach, FL 32960. Burial will follow at Crestlawn Cemetery.
