Eleanor Lois Cranson, 100, Vero Beach

Eleanor Lois Cranson, 100, of Vero Beach, passed away on March 31, 2016.

She is survived by her children Fay Lemee of Vero Beach, Joyce Baker of Vero Beach, Douglas (Muriel) Cranson of Ashfield and Richard Cranson of Ashfield; sister Gertrude Agrillo of Concord, Mass.; seven grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her husband Howard Cranson in 1983 as well as two brothers and a sister.

Cranson was born in Sept. 22, 1915 in Ashfield, Mass., to the late Michael and Mary Pollen. She had been a resident of Vero Beach since 2002, coming from Greenfield, Mass.

She raised her family in Ashfield where she held various jobs and later retired from the United States Postal Service. Cranson was an avid golfer and a former member of the Ashfield Golf Club and Worthington Golf Club, Worthington, Mass.

A private graveside service will be held at Plain Cemetery in Ashfield at a later date.
