Loretta Sfalanga Yeni, 90, Vero Beach

Loretta Sfalanga Yeni, 90, of Vero Beach, passed away on March 28, 2016, at the Hospice House of Vero Beach surrounded by her family after a brief illness.

She will be dearly missed by her son Joseph A Yeni (Cindy) along with daughter Loretta Yeni Martin (Tim). She was so proud and of her five grandchildren: M. Jason Brosche (Suzanne), Shane Brosche (Tamsin), Christine Camper (James), Joseph A. Yeni Jr. (Danielle Ciccaglione), and Anne Marie Battis (Jon); four great-grandchildren: Payton Brosche, Marissa Camper, Joseph J. Yeni and Richard Pennington; four step- grandchildren; five step great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews; and her sister Millie.

She was preceded in death by two sisters, Mary and Rose and three brothers Philip, Louis and Joseph.

She is now reunited in heaven with her beloved husband of 58 years Joseph.

Yeni was born in Brooklyn, N.Y., on Dec. 1, 1925, to the late Paul and Lucia Sfalanga. She had a deep love for her family. There was nothing that made her happier than cooking and having everyone come together for a meal. She was truly the matriarch of our family. She was a devoted daughter, sister, wife and mother.

A visitation will be held on Saturday April 2, 2016 from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. with a service at 12:30 p.m. at Aycock Funeral Home in Fort Pierce. Entombment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Wounded Warrior project www.woundedwarriorproject.org.
