GIFFORD — One person was shot in the hand Sunday night in Gifford.
The incident happened around 10 p.m. at the Orangewood Park Apartments in the 4100 block of 37th Street, according to Indian River County Sheriff’s Office Spokesman Lt. Eric Flowers.
The victim, a 23-year-old-male, didn’t initially cooperate, but is now working with detectives, according to authorities.
They are also working to find out the location of the shooting. Deputies on patrol through the neighborhood heard three or four gunshots and then found the victim.
