Robert “Bob” and Margaret “Margy” Atkins, of Vero Beach passed away 10 days apart after 61 years of marriage. Robert passed away on March 17, 2016, and Margaret passed away on March 7, 2016.
They are survived by their son Robert (Kimberly) Atkins; sister Velma “Boots” (Jim) McCoy; granddaughter Zoey Atkins.
Bob was predeceased by sisters Roberta Workman, Betty Frazier and Jimmie Barnhart; brother, Richard C. Atkins.
Margy was predeceased by her brother James McVey.
Robert was born in Madison, W.Va., to the late Robert and Catherine Atkins.
Margaret was born in Charleston, W.Va., to the late James and Margaret Mcvey.
The family would like to thank both VNA of the Treasure Coast and the staff at Solaris Senior Living for the exceptional care they received.
There will be a memorial gathering held from 1 to 3 p.m., Tuesday, March 29, 2016 at Thomas S. Lowther Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the charity of your choice.
