Frederick O. Sinclair, 83, of Vero Beach, passed away on March 19, 2016, at his residence.
He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Sallie; sons Matthew (Claudia) of Modesto, Calif., Gregory (Diane) of Coral Springs, Fla., and Jeffrey (Mary) of Scottsdale, Ariz.; sister, Carolyn Hale of Springfield, Mass.; and three grandchildren.
Sinclair was born in Springfield, Mass., on Dec. 6, 1932. He was educated at American International College and Boston University School of Music, with advanced studies in management at Harvard and Princeton.
He worked as an executive in various facets in the insurance industry in New York prior to serving as Director of Risk Financial Services of Fort Lauderdale and as a Senior Consultant of Insurance Consulting. He founded Verbal Dynamics, a management and motivational consultancy.
An operatic baritone soloist, he enjoyed a national reputation as a recitalist, concert and oratorio performer. He served as soloist on the musical staffs of many prominent churches throughout the country, including the famed Riverside Church in New York City.
He served as public information officer in the National Guard of three states over a span of eight years. His local and regional memberships include the American Legion Post 39, American Guild of Organists- Fort Lauderdale chapter and Mended Hearts of Indian River County.
Sinclair had been a resident of Vero Beach since 1998.
