Humane Society hosts “Cause for Paws” gala March 21

INDIAN RIVER COUNTY — Please join the Humane Society of Vero Beach and Indian River County on Monday, March 21, 2016 for its annual Cause For Paws gala. Cause for Paws has been The Humane Society’s signature event for more than 30 years. Last year’s event raised more than $320,000 for vital spay/neuter, vaccination, adoption, anti-cruelty and humane education services benefiting the animals of Indian River County.

Cause for Paws is set to take place at 6 p.m. in the lovely Oak Harbor Club House, located at 4755 South Harbor Drive, Vero Beach, and will feature festive cocktails and a delicious dinner. Guests can bid on exotic vacations, exquisite jewelry and a wide assortment of gift certificates during the exciting live and silent auctions. Attendees can even bid while dining thanks to the popular BidPal handheld bidding system.

This year’s Cause for Paws co-chairs are Bonnie Spitzmiller, Mary Ryan and Maria Segura. “Presenting Sponsors” include the Richard and Lillian Becker Family Foundation, Jo Ann Becker and Sally Edwards; “Best of Breed Sponsors” are Warren and Virginia Schwerin; “Cats Meow Sponsors” are Hudson Advisor Services, Inc. and Chris and Maria Whittle.
