VERO BEACH — Due to strong demand during family vacation weeks Elite Airways is adding two additional weekly nonstop flights between Vero Beach Regional Airport (VRB) and Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR) through April 1.
Elite Airways currently offers scheduled nonstop service between Vero Beach and NYC/Newark on Thursdays and Sundays. Starting this week, the airline has added two more round-trip flights a week to accommodate increased passenger demand during weeks that some existing flights have either filled up or sold out.
New Monday and Friday flights through April 1 include:
• VRB to EWR: Departs Vero Beach at 9 a.m. arrives Newark at 11:30 a.m.
• EWR to VRB: Departs Newark at 12:15 p.m. arrives Vero Beach at 3:45 p.m.
“We are pleased to add two more round-trip flights a week between now and April 1st in response to strong demand for March vacation travel between Vero Beach and New York,” said John Pearsall, President of Elite Airways. “The response to this service has more than exceeded our expectations and we are exploring the possibility of adding more flights and destinations this summer.”

Elite Airways is also pet friendly. The Vero Beach Regional Airport offers free parking next to the terminal for outgoing passengers along with Avis and Hertz rental facilities on airport property for inbound passengers.

The additional Monday and Friday flights depart and arrive at the same time as the scheduled Thursday and Sunday flights, which offer continuing service to Naples Florida. On Thursdays and Sundays, Vero Beach passengers can fly direct from Vero Beach to Naples Municipal Airport (APF) starting at $59 each way, which is normally a 3.5-hour drive.
