Nora T. Okerfelt, 95, of Vero Beach, passed away on March 1, 2016.
She is survived by several nieces and nephews including her niece and caregiver, Linda J. Peterson, and her husband, James, of Vero Beach. She also leaves her friend and care manager, Sue Teague, of Vero Beach.
She was preceded in death by her five siblings, Francis, Arthur, Joseph, Margaret, and Louise.
She was the wife of the late Gilbert C. Okerfelt and mother of the late Ronald.
Okerfelt was born in Dorchester, Mass., and lived in Marshfield and Weymouth, Mass. She retired to Vero Beach in 1981 and resided in Vista Royale.
She was an executive secretary with the Boston Globe newspaper. She was also a professional roller dance instructor and an accomplished ballroom dancer. She enjoyed dancing at the Polish American Club of Vero Beach.
Her final arrangements will be private. Donations in her memory may be made to the VNA Hospice House, 1110 35th Ln, Vero Beach, FL 32960.
