Jean Irwin, 86, of Vero Beach, passed away March 3, 2016.
She is survived by her sons Dale Irwin of Vero Beach and Craig Irwin, of Jupiter, Fla.; and granddaughters Emily and Alison Irwin.
She was preceded in death by her husband Howard Irwin and brother William Erf.
Irwin was born in Bellevue, Ohio, where she was raised until she went to college at Ohio State. She was a Registered Nurse and attained her Masters in Nursing Instructing. She taught Nursing Curriculums at colleges in Delaware and Florida.
She was a member of AAUW, American Association of University Women and a member of the Phi Mu Sorority. In her younger years she enjoyed sailing up and down the Atlantic Ocean. In 1979 she moved to Florida from Delaware.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, March 12, 2016 at 2 p.m. at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens in Fort Pierce.
