Starbucks gets bomb threat to start weekend

INDIAN RIVER COUNTY — The Starbucks on State Road 60 received a bomb threat Friday that prompted authorities to investigate.

It was determined to be a hoax, said Indian River County Sheriff’s spokesman Lt. Eric Flowers.

The would-be bomber called the store to make the threat. Employees, in turn, called police.

According to the call, the person with a bomb was reportedly standing outside the coffee shop. Employees told authorities that they saw no such person standing outside.
