Arthur Gustave Kaus, 97, of Vero Beach, died Feb. 24, 2016, at Gwinnett Medical Center in Lawrenceville, GA. He was born in Vero Beach on April 23, 1918, and lived in Dacula, GA, for four years coming from his birthplace.
He was a decorated veteran of The United States Coast Guard achieving the rank of Chief Boatswain’s mate. He was a Boat Captain with The United States Naval Ordnance Laboratory Stationed in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., retiring after over 31 years of service.
Survivors include his son Raymond Mark Kaus, of Dacula, GA; sister Dorothy Pearse, of Vero Beach; 4 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Juanita, and son Robert E. Kaus.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday March 3, 2016, First Covenant Church, Vero Beach with Rev. Tristan Hohler officiating.
A Committal Service with Military Honors will follow at Crestlawn Cemetery.
