School district opens enrollment for free Summer Voluntary Pre-K Program

INDIAN RIVER COUNTY — The School District of Indian River County is pleased to announce the opening of enrollment for Florida’s free Summer Voluntary Pre- Kindergarten (VPK) Program.

Enrollment will take place at the Support Services Complex, located at 6055 62nd Ave. Vero Beach, on these dates:

Monday, Feb. 22 from 4 to 6 p.m.

Tuesday, Feb. 23 from 4 to 6 p.m.

Monday, Feb. 29 from 4 to 6 p.m.

Tuesday, March 1 from 8 to 10 a.m.

Thursday, March 3 from 4 to 6 p.m.

Monday, March 7 from 4 to 6 p.m.

Wednesday, March 9 from 8 to 10 a.m.

The Summer VPK program is a high quality, developmentally appropriate 300-hour instructional program with certified teachers, which promotes readiness for school success and a positive transition to kindergarten. This program is free of charge for children who are or will be 5 years old on or before Sept. 1, 2016 and who will be entering kindergarten for the 2016-2017 school year.
