Andrew W. Catalano Jr., 56, Vero Beach

Andrew W. “Andy” Catalano Jr., 56, of Vero Beach, passed away on Feb. 16, 2016, after a lengthy illness.

He is survived by his wife Linda Bandle Catalano; son Brian Catalano; his brother Joe Catalano of Vero Beach; and sister Lois Catalano Merkle of Fort Worth, Texas.

He is preceded in death by both parents.

Born Sept. 28, 1959, to Andrew and Camille Di Crescio Catalano, he lived his lifetime in the Vero Beach area.

Catalano graduated from Vero Beach High School in 1978, he went on to Indian River Community College and received an Associate’s of Science degree in electronics.

He worked as an electronics repairman, butcher and produce truck driver.

Loved by many friends and family, Catalano was well known for his generosity, sincere care to see youth succeed, and as a fun family man. He was a weekend mechanic, and a source of knowledge for his son and his friends. He played darts, billiards, bowling and golf, had amazing ability to fix anything electric, and loved his oldies music.

He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

A celebration of Andy’s life will take place Friday, Feb. 19, 2017 at the Seawinds Funeral Home; 735 S Flemming Street; Sebastian, FL 32958, with a casual gathering of friends and family at 3:30 p.m. and memorial at 4 p.m. The intent of the memorial is for all to reminisce on their favorite memories with Andy, and celebrate the impact his life made upon us all.
