Marjorie L. Bradley, 82, of Vero Beach, passed away on Feb. 11, 2016, at the VNA Hospice House.
She is survived by her sons John (Diane) Bradley and Jim Bradley; daughter Carolyn Bradley; grandchildren Jennifer Thornton, DJ Whitaker and Austin Bradley; six great- grandchildren all of Vero Beach; sister Bridget Hargraves of New Bedford, Mass.; and brother Paul Ledwell.
She was preceded in death by her husband John Wales Bradley, her sister Eileen Reed and her grandson Bradley White.
Bradley was born in Nantucket, Mass., on Aug. 17, 1933 and has resided in Vero Beach the last 60 years.
She was a homemaker and professional artist. She served in the U.S. Navy during 1951-1953 at Great Lakes Naval Training in Illinois. She was a previous member of the Indian River County Garden Cub. She was the founder and director of the “Artists Guild Gallery of Vero Beach” and the co-founder and director of the “American Impressionists Society” which started in 1998 and has grown to a national organization of many professional artists.
A service will be held on Sunday, Feb. 21, 2016 at Strunk Funeral Home in Vero Beach at 3 p.m. A celebration of life shall follow.
