County recreation department starts new adult flag football league

INDIAN RIVER COUNTY — The Indian River County Recreation Department is happy to announce a new adult program this spring, Adult Flag Football.

The Recreation Department will hold a mandatory meeting on Feb. 23, 6 p.m., which will be held at the County admin building. Both complete teams and individual players are needed, the deadline will be March 4.

Managers Packets need to be picked up on before the Feb. 23 meeting. Packets can be downloaded at www.ircrec.com or be picked up at the County admin building B at 1800 27th St. Vero Beach 32960.

Teams may have a maximum of 10 players, minimum of eight players. A maximum of six teams will be allowed into the league, a minimum of four teams are needed to start the league.

Team Fees are $300 and will be due March 4.

The season will start March 15. The season will consist of 10 games and a single elimination tournament. Games will be played on Tuesday and Thursday nights at the Gifford Park.
