INDIAN RIVER COUNTY — The power is back on after an outage affected the hospital and around 600 other customers.
A feeder line at the Gifford substation went down causing the outage.
Crews were on scene addressing the problem around 9:45 a.m. Friday, according to Vero Beach City Manager Jim O’Connor.
The Indian River Medical Center was affected by the outage, but Vero Electric shifted the hospital to a different substation, O’Connor said.
