Donald J. McNurlin, 87, of Sebastian, passed away peacefully on Feb. 7, 2016, at VNA Hospice House, surrounded by his family
He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Peggy; his daughters Marsha Sherry and Julie Beam; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; one sister-in-law, Audrey McNurlin; two brothers-in-law, Henry Klipple (Nina), and Bill Klipple and many nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents and his five brothers and five sisters.
McNurlin was born in Sebeka, Minn., on Aug. 27, 1928 to Thomas and Aurora McNurlin.
He spent 37 years in government with 20 of those years in the U.S. Air Force. He loved the outdoors where he hunted, fished and played lots of golf. He always had a story or a joke to share. Although nothing brought him more joy than spending time with his family.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, Feb. 27, 2016 at the Sebastian United Methodist Church, 1029 Main St., Sebastian, 32958.
