Charles Victor Kwiatkoski, 86, of Vero Beach, passed away on Jan. 28, 2016, at VNA Hospice House.
He is survived by two children: a daughter, Cheryl Middleton of Baltimore, Md., and a son, Robert (Big Bob) Kwiatkoski of Nags Head, N.C.; his Life Partner, Bonnie Stone of Vero Beach; and his sister Jean Federovich of Seymour, Texas.
He was born to the late John and Anna Kwiatkoski in Plymouth, Penn., in 1929. He was the youngest of seven children.
Kwiatkoski proudly served in the United States Navy on the USS Manchester during the Korean War. After, he was honorably discharged. When he returned he attended Bloomsburg State Teachers College where he met Janet Ference, his wife of 48 years, who preceded him in passing in 2004.
He started his career as a history teacher to high school students in California and then he moved to New Jersey where he became a guidance counselor and football coach. He retired from Watchung Hills Regional High School in Sterling, N.J.
