June Marie Whalen, 85, of Vero Beach, passed away on Feb. 3, 2016.
She is survived by her loving husband of 10 years, John Whalen of Vero Beach; children, Kathryn Martone of Wall, N.J., Carol Kuderna of Ocean, N.J. and Russell Stroupe; stepchildren, John Whalen of Englishtown, N.J., Susan Hall of Midlothian, Va., Sheila Romm of Virginia Beach, Va., Sharon Herlan of Freehold, N.J. and Elizabeth Donnelly of Hiawassee, Ga.; sister Barbara Malinconico of Freehold, N.J.; eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a daughter.
Born in Long Branch, N.J., on Feb. 17, 1930, she resided there most of her life.
Whalen was a realtor in the real estate business, retired and relocated to Vero Beach in 2005, coming from Freehold, N.J.
The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., Monday, Feb. 8, 2016 at Cox-Gifford-Seawinds Funeral Home in Vero Beach. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 2p.m., Monday, Feb. 8, 2016 at St. Helen Catholic Church.
