VERO BEACH — Guided prayer experiences to enrich the Lenten journey will be offered at the Center for Spiritual Care starting the second week of February.
Participants may choose to attend Fridays from 10 to 11 a.m. or Sundays from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. Friday sessions begin Feb. 12, Sundays start Feb. 14.
The sessions will be presented by John O’Neill, Carol Ludwig and Bob Howlett.
These spiritual directors will guide participants through the season using specific prayer forms. These include Lectio Divina, with seasonal Scripture readings; Centering Prayer, with silence encouraging calm and creating an environment in which God can be heard more clearly; Examen, which deepens awareness of God’s presence and blessings; Meditation to invite one into the story of scripture; and Dialogue Prayer, leading to a two-way conversation with God.
The suggested donation for all six sessions is $50 or $10 per session for participants who cannot attend the full program. Further information and registration forms may be obtained at the Center or by calling (772) 567-1233. The Center for Spiritual Care is located at 1550 24th St. in Vero Beach.
