INDIAN RIVER COUNTY — For the fourth consecutive year, Marine Bank & Trust will support Leadership Indian River County by providing a minority scholarship so that a deserving individual can experience and benefit from the Indian River Chamber of Commerce program. This year’s recipient is Ms. Barbara Pearce of Gifford Youth Achievement Center.
Leadership Indian River County is a community leadership program that includes a seven-session training program providing a hands-on, multi-disciplinary study of Indian River County’s current infrastructure, resources and issues in order to expose potential leaders to the challenges and opportunities of the area. This year’s class will benefit from a series of leadership experiences developed for the group by the best-selling author of FISH! Stephen C. Lundin, Ph.D.
“We are proud to provide a scholarship to a deserving future leader,” said Bill Penney, President and CEO of Marine Bank & Trust. “Our community is fortunate to have a program that is focused on developing leaders who will one day influence the future growth and prosperity of our economy.
