INDIAN RIVER COUNTY — The Indian River County Agriculture Unit with the Sheriff’s Office has found two elderly boaters who were lost early Monday afternoon.
They were searching for the boaters’ location using their cell phone to triangulate their position, according to Indian River County Spokesman Eric Flowers.
They were in the Garcia’s Boat Ramp area north of State Road 60 on County Road 512.
The boaters were not injured, according to authorities. They were boating in a gheenoe, a long, slender, shallow-draft boat similar in looks to a canoe.
