Road rage ends with 2 arrests

INDIAN RIVER COUNTY — A road rage incident led to the arrest of two Sebastian men on Thursday afternoon after the defendants charged the victim and his vehicle in the Cumberland Farms parking lot in the 4400 block of US 1.

Adam Grimm, 20, of 674 Jordan Ave., Sebastian, faces a misdemeanor charge for battery.

Blaze Howe, 42, of 758 Forster Ave., Sebastian faces a misdemeanor charge for criminal mischief with damage greater than $200 but less than $1,000.

The victim told authorities he was driving south on US 1 when the two men pulled up beside him in a blue Hyundai SUV and began yelling at him, beeping their horn and making obscene gestures. The victim said he pulled into the Cumberland Farms parking lot to avoid the men in the Hyundai who continued to engage in road rage behaviors, according to the police report.

Grimm and Howe followed the victim to Cumberland Farms, exited their vehicle and “charged” the victim in the parking lot, the victim and a witness reported.

According to the arrest reports, Grimm punched the victim several times in the face and in the ribs and Howe kicked the side of the victim’s truck hard enough to dent it.

Authorities arrested the two men at Mulligan’s Beach House Bar and Grill in Sebastian where they were found having lunch.

No motive for the road rage was given in the report.

Each defendant posted $500 bond and were released from the Indian River County Jail Thursday evening.
