Patricia Marlene West-White, of Vero Beach, passed away on Jan. 18, 2016.
She was a mother, writer, artist, advocate for animals, historian, pilot, overcomer, loved all things French, the color red, loved the song, “Somewhere Over the Rainbow” (Kamakawiwo’ole version), and of course, something sparkly with every outfit.
On Jan. 18, 2016, she stepped out onto a shore and found heaven. She reached out and felt the reassuring touch of a hand; God’s hand held hers. She breathed in long and deep, and for the first time, breathed in Heaven’s air. She felt vigor pour into her, she saw with the clarity never known on this side of Heaven, and in a moment, the blindness, infirmity, pain, storm, and tempest was wiped away; subsumed by immortality’s peace, joy, and perfection. Heaven, her true home…
We loved you. We love you still. We know that you are guarding and helping us in ways that you never could before. Thank you.
Funeral Mass will be held at St. John of the Cross, Monday, Jan. 25, 2016, at 10 a.m.
