Knife clashes with golf club during fight between mom, daughter

SEBASTIAN — A teenaged daughter and her mother got into a fight over the weekend that led to the daughter’s arrest for aggravated assault.

During the dispute, the teen threw a steak knife at her mother as well as armed herself with a butcher knife, according to authorities.

In response, the mother grabbed a golf club and struck her daughter in the head in an act of self defense, authorities said.

Ashley Nicole Glee, 18, of 102 Flint Street, Sebastian, now faces a single charge of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

A witness who overheard the commotion removed the butcher knife from Glee’s grasp, but did not witness her throw the steak knife.

Glee was treated for a minor injury to her head at the Sebastian River Medical Center before she was booked into the Indian River County Jail.

She was released Sunday morning on $500 bond.
