When Wyoming Avenue in Fellsmere gets paved, residents and Council members fear the road will become a drag strip.
To address those concerns, the City is considering its options for calming traffic, which include the possibility of speed bumps, speed humps, speed tables or other such devices.
Council has decided, so far, to pursue paving the road and address traffic calming measures after the work is done and they’ve had time to assess the traffic situation.
In short, if residents don’t want to live with speed bumps or other such items on their roads, drivers should follow posted speed limits.
