INDIAN RIVER COUNTY — All lanes are open open after a semitrailer transporting vehicles has caught fire and forced Interstate 95 southbound to shutdown at the 148 mm.
The semitrailer was fully engulfed.
Northbound traffic was temporarily shutdown.
Shortly before 11 a.m. the fire was under control, according to Indian River County Fire Rescue. Between 50 and 75 gallons of diesel fuel is on the ground with about 200 gallons to go. Authorities were unable to stop the fuel leak.
