Barbara Ann Pennell, 88, of Vero Beach, passed away on Jan. 14, 2016.
She is survived by her sons Alfred Pennell and Bobby Pennell; daughter Donna Schantz; four grandchildren, Caron Schantz, Melissa Margarone, Sarah Traband, and Kyle Pennell; six great-grandchildren Killian Pennell, Quentin Traband, Jackson Robbs, Isabella Traband, Taylor
Margarone, and Payton Margarone.
She was predeceased by her beloved husband of 54 years, Herb Pennell and brother Jack Connolly.
Pennell was born in Woburn, Mass., to the late John Francis and Edith Maude Connolly.
She was a graduate of St. Mary’s High School in Beverly, Mass. After marriage, she moved to Pittsfield, Mass., and later to Long Island, N.Y. before settling in Lake Worth, Fla. She moved to Vero Beach, after her husband’s death.
She was a member at Holy Cross Catholic Church.
Pennell was very family oriented and enjoyed any activity that she could share with her family. She was seen as the “caretaker” of the family and had a very nurturing personality.
