Alice J. Fey, 79, of Vero Beach, passed away on Jan. 11, 2016.
She is survived by her children Kelley Lozier of Vero Beach, Mark (Sherri) Fey of Vero Beach and Cathy (Richard) Reeves of Tampa; stepson Wayne Fey of Key West; sister Beverly (Richard) McCleod of Maine; grandchildren Shawn Fey, Ashely Fey, Brianna Lozier, Cassie Lozier, Madelynn Reeves and Jolie Reeves; great-grandchildren Calya, Shawn, Vincent, Anne Marie and Allison as well as many loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
She was predeceased by her husband in 1996, William Fay and her step-son Lawrence in 1976.
Fey was born Jan. 25, 1936, in Butler, Penn., to the late William and Katherine Myers. She attended Butler High School and School of Nursing, having graduated in 1954 and 1957. She moved to Fort Lauderdale in 1959 and work for Broward Memorial Hospital and Dr. John Fifer.
She married William L Fey, BMC retired UDT Navy diver, in 1961. In 1973, Mr. and Mrs. Fey moved to Vero Beach where Mr. Fey owned a Commercial Deep Sea Dive School at Harbor Branch Foundation.
She was a devout Catholic and instilled the same beliefs in her family by being members of St. Helen Catholic Church. Fey’s children attended St. Helen Catholic School and she often volunteered in the school Clinic.
Friends may call from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m., Thursday, Jan. 14, 2016, followed by a 12 p.m. Funeral Service at Cox Gifford Seawinds Funeral Home in Vero Beach. Entombment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens in Fort Pierce. An online guest book may be signed at www.coxgiffordseawinds.com.
