VERO BEACH — An apartment unit on Date Palm Road on the island is reportedly on fire and authorities are responding.
Indian River County Fire Rescue is investigating an apartment fire 275 Date Palm Rd. in Vero Beach.
Multiple units have been dispatched, according to authorities. Roads in the area are being shutdown.
There was a smell of smoke, the source is still under investigation. The fire was put out at 9:51 a.m. It was contained to unit 303.
