Herman Walter “Bud” Berry, 94, formerly of Vero Beach, passed away on Jan. 7, 2016, in Sun City Center, Fla.
He is survived by his loving daughter, Mary Mince, who he thought of as a daughter. He also leaves behind many other nieces and nephews to cherish his memory. The family would also like to give thanks to Hana who has been his companion for many years and Jim and Trudi Hesling who have been his friends for more than 60 years. He had many friends and everyone who knew him loved him very much.
He was predeceased in death by his wife Eva and his brothers Bill and Roy Berry.
Berry was born in Flint, Mich., and had been a resident of Sun City Center for more than 10 years coming from Vero Beach.
He served in the US Navy.
Prior to retirement, Berry worked as an analyst for General Motors in Michigan for more than 29 years. He was an entertainer. He loved playing the piano, singing and dancing. He was also the president of Swan Lake, Village Green.
He was of the Presbyterian faith.
A visitation will be held Monday, Jan. 11, 2016 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. with a chapel service to follow at 12 p.m. at Aycock Funeral Home, Fort Pierce. Interment will then follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens.
Arrangements are under the care of Aycock Funeral Home, Fort Pierce.
