Florence A. Baker, 101, of Vero Beach, passed away on Jan. 5, 2015.
She is survived by her son Thomas and his children Rachel A. (Herman) Klinger, III and their sons, Herman IV and Wyndham and Alexander (Erin) Baker and their daughter, Emerson Grace.
She was preceded in death by her husband Eastman W. Baker and her son Robert A. Baker.
Baker was born in Chicago, Ill., on Nov. 10, 1914, to the late William Haberzetle and Helen Haberzetle (Martin). Graduating from DePaul University, she earned her Master’s Degree in education and taught for 30 years in the Chicago Public School System.
She celebrated her 101st birthday and last Christmas with her loving family she made in 2015.
Friends may be received from 2 to 4 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 10, 2016 at Quattlebaum Funeral, Cremation and Event Center, 5411 Okeechobee Blvd. West Palm Beach, FL 33417. A Graveside service and burial will be held at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Evergreen Park, Ill., on Tuesday, Jan. 12, 2016, at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to in Florence’s memory.
