Kenneth Fallin, 85, of Vero Beach, passed away on Dec. 30, 2015, at Indian River Medical Center.
He is survived by his wife Margaret Thompson Fallin; daughters Sandy Newman and Anita Martin; grandchildren Heather Gardner, Amanda Martin, and Craig Newman. Ken was blessed with two great-grandsons, Nolan Croy and Christopher Newman with a third due any day now.
Fallin was born Aug. 6, 1930 in Queens, N.Y., and grew up in Auburndale, Fla.
He was an honorably discharged World War II veteran serving his country faithfully in the U.S. Navy. After the Navy, he earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering from the University of Florida.
Fallin worked for several aviation companies including Piper Aircraft’s facilities in both Vero Beach and Lakeland. Throughout his life, he enjoyed many aspects of aviation from his extensive collections, to attending fly-ins, and even assisting in reconstruction of classic aircraft.
He had a life-long passion for the Florida Gators. Decked out in his orange and blue, he watched his beloved gators no matter what the sport.
