Beulah Spires Brown, 96, of Vero Beach, passed away on Dec. 29, 2015, at Palm Garden of Vero Beach with family at her bedside.
She is survived by her granddaughters Helena E. Bence of Sandy Lake, Penn., Maryellen Graveley of Avon, Mont., and Stephanie Copeland of Greenwich, N.Y.; grandsons Jay Brown of Lake Worth and Adam Brown of Palm City; 11 great-grandchildren and nine great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband John Brown; daughters Charlotte Brown Johnson and Maryellen Brown; son Richard H. Brown; grandson Richard Johnson; 10 brothers and nine sisters.
Brown was born in Hernando, Fla., and moved to Vero Beach in 1947 coming from Moore Haven, Fla.
She was a graduate of Citrus High School in Inverness, Fla. Brown and her husband John had operated a movie theatre in Moore Haven during WW II and she had been the Office Manager at Catron Beverage Co. in Vero Beach prior to her retirement.
She was a member of First Baptist Church, Rebekah Lodge and the VFW Auxillary in Vero Beach.

A memorial service celebrating her life was held Dec. 31, 2015 at the Strunk Funeral Home in Vero Beach.
