Albert Harry Finnimore Jr., 80, of Vero Beach, passed away on Dec. 22, 2015.
He is survived by his three daughters, Marianna Finnimore of Royston, Ga., Christa (Tim) Branderhorst of St. Cloud, Fla., and Nancy Margagliano (Robert) of Port Saint Lucie; eight grandchildren, Jason (Shelley) Finnimore of Aurora, Colo., Kelli Ann (Mark) Hill of St. Cloud, Fla., Samantha Mellen of Port Saint Lucie, Melodie (Eric) Wilson of Winter Park, Fla., Josh Hieber of Royston, Ga., Dawn Finnimore of Philadelphia, Penn., Matthew Branderhorst of St. Cloud, Fla., and Melissa (Eric) Saladrigas of Prattville, Ala., along with six great-grandchildren and many loving nieces, nephews and extended family.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Marianna Finnimore, and his son, Albert Finnimore, III.
A native of Vineland, N.J., Finnimore served in the Air Force during the Korean War.
Finnimore loved tinkering with things and fixing them. He worked in various jobs as a mechanic or in the maintenance field. After his wife died, he moved back to Florida and retired to be closer to his daughters. He enjoyed singing Karaoke and spending time with family. He was always there to help family and friends with repairs or whatever else they needed him for.
A military honors service will be held on Thursday, Dec. 31, 2015 at the South Florida National Cemetery in Lake Worth.
