Master’s Academy receives $50,000 technology grant

INDIAN RIVER COUNTY — Master’s Academy of Vero Beach has been awarded a grant in the amount of $50,000 by the Plansoen Foundation. Dr. Wayne Smith, Head of School, accepted the grant on behalf of Master’s Academy.

The funds will be used to fully furnish a state-of-the-art computer lab, provide new laptop computers and web-based professional development to teachers, and revamp the Master’s Academy website. Master’s Academy is now able to offer a comprehensive computer curriculum at all grade levels.

“We are very appreciative of the support from the Plansoen Foundation and we are truly blessed by the generosity of Mrs. Helen Post who tangibly supports the mission of Master’s Academy,” Smith said.

Post was presented with a plaque of appreciation which will hang on a wall in the new computer lab in recognition of her generosity.

Master’s Academy offers excellence in academics, the arts, athletics, and service and has been serving Indian River County since 1998. Located on the southwest corner of 58th Avenue and 12th Street in Vero Beach, Master’s Academy provides students with a Biblical worldview education in preschool through 12th grade.
