Alexander P. Damiano, 91, Vero Beach

Alexander P. Damiano, 91, of Vero Beach, passed away on Nov. 13, 2015, of natural causes.

He is survived by his three children, Claire Damiano, Steven Damiano, and Elinor (Toni) Damiano; nieces Linda Damiano and Regina Damiano, and nephew Joe Damiano.

He is predeceased by his first wife, Mary Elinor Crosier Damiano.

Damiano was born in Altoona, Penn., and attended Altoona High School, and an Aeronautics Technical Institute in New Jersey after his service in the United States Air Force. He worked briefly for the CIA and more than 25 years for Vitro Laboratories in Silver Spring, Md.

He retired and lived in Vero Beach with his wife Marjorie Broder for 29 years until she passed in June 2015.

The family had the recent opportunity to meet many of Damiano’s friends in Vero Beach and wish to acknowledge and express appreciation to his friends and the community he enjoyed over that last 29 years.

His children are holding a memorial mass for Alex at St. Helen Catholic Church, Saturday, Dec. 12 at 12 p.m. He will be laid to rest at the Baltimore National Cemetery in Baltimore, Md.
