Mark Bohannon Sr., 71, of Vero Beach, passed away on Nov. 24, 2015, at his home.
He is survived by his wife Cynthia Bohannon, of 53 years; son Mark Bohannon Jr. of Vero Beach; daughters Tracy Crawford (Wayne) of Twin City, Ga., Marty Zaleuke (George), of Sebastian, Shirley Hubler (Darrel), of Vero Beach, April Fredell (Ryan),Roseland; 16 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his father and mother, Council and Dealmer Bohannon; sister Doretha Laster; and brothers Buddy, John, Leroy and Jerry.
Born June 30, 1944 in Jennings, Fla., to Council and Dealmer Bohannon, he has lived in Indian River County for 55 years.
Bohannon worked as a grove supervisor for Graves Brothers Citrus for 43 years. He also enjoyed hunting and fishing.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 27, 2015 at Strunk Funeral Home in Sebastian.
Services will be held Saturday, Nov. 28, 2015 at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with Pastor David Johns officiating. Interment to follow at Winter Beach Cemetery.
