Lenora Harriet Abrams, 83, Vero Beach

Lenora “Nora” Harriet Abrams, 83, of Vero Beach, passed away on Nov. 18, 2015.

She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Dick Abrams of Sebastian; sons Skip (Dee Dee) Abrams of Longwood, Fla., and Cliff (LA) Abrams of Sebastian; daughters Donna (Charlie) Graul of Coconut Creek, Fla., and Jenny (Chick) Hendrickson of Port St. Lucie; grandchildren Lisa (Tom) Rottinghaus of Olathe, Colo., Michael (Delia) Krakower of Clewiston, Fla., Kristin (Nick) Barnes of Wesley Chapel, Fla., Meghan (Steven) Landry of Sorrento, Fla., Ryan Hendrickson of Port St. Lucie, Brittany Hendrickson of Jacksonville, Bridget Abrams of Orlando; great-grandchildren Damien and Mikey Krakower, Kai Watson, Ryan David Hendrickson, Sophie and Abby Barnes and Brantley Landry, brother, Eric (Hanne) Nilsson of Ocean Pines, Md.; sisters Gail (Ray) Bosch of Rockville Centre, N.Y. and Beverly Nilsson of Deerfield Beach, Fla.

Abrams was born in Jamaica, N.Y. She grew up in Oceanside, N.Y., and was a graduate of Oceanside High School, Class of 1950. She married Dick Abrams on Nov. 27, 1951 on the TV show Bride and Groom. She retired in 1994 from Coral Ridge Properties, in Coral Springs, Fla., after 17 years, moving to Sebastian.

She was a very active member of Christ The King Lutheran Church, Sebastian, working on the alter guild, quilting circle and preparing the weekly bulletin. Abrams was always involved with church activities and Ladies Auxiliary at the volunteer fire departments in the towns where they lived, Oceanside, N.Y., Candia, N.H., West Henrietta, N.Y. and Coral Springs, Fla.

Memorial contributions may be made to Christ The King Lutheran Church, 1301 Sebastian Boulevard, Sebastian, Florida 32958 in memory of Lenora Abrams.

A Celebration of her life will be held at 3 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 5, 2015 at Christ The King Lutheran Church, Sebastian with Rev. Karen Leedahl, officiating.

Strunk Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
