Anneliese Weirich Weeks, 84, of Vero Beach, passed away peacefully on Nov. 14, 2015.
She is survived by her devoted husband, Silas Weeks; son Frederick Michael Weeks (Margaret); and two grandchildren, Kathryn and Benjamin Weeks, all of Vero Beach and her sister Sigrid Weirich Steever (Bill) of Burnsville, Minn.
Weeks was born Sept. 2, 1931 in Birkenfeld-Nahe, Germany, she was the daughter of the late Friedrich Peter Weirich and Minna Jung Weirich.
She was married to her husband Silas Weeks for 59 years having met in Germany after WWII. They made their home in Rocky Mount, N.C. where they raised their son Frederick and she was a housewife and loving mother.
She loved visiting the North Carolina mountains as they reminded her of her home in Germany.
When they retired and moved to Florida, they first settled in Venice, Fla., where she loved beach walks and hunting for sharks teeth. Her grandchildren were her pride and joy and she showered them with her loving affection. They relocated to Vero Beach to be close to their grandchildren.
