INDIAN RIVER COUNTY — More details have been released about the man who committed suicide Monday night at the Roseland McDonald’s.
Donald Reid, 58, of Brevard County, shot himself in the men’s bathroom at the restaurant, according to Indian River County Spokesman Sgt. Eric Flowers. The gunshot was not heard by employees.
An employee discovered Reid’s body and management placed a “Do not enter” sign on the door and called authorities.
Reid only had one bullet in the gun, leaving the rest with a note in his vehicle, according to authorities.
On average, two suicides occur a month in Indian River County, according to Flowers.
