Elaine Anna Meder, 80, of Vero Beach, passed away on Nov. 7, 2015.
She is survived by her loving husband of 58 years, Frederick (Fred) Meder; sons Frederick (Laura) Meder, Jr. and Lawrence (Iris) Meder; grandchildren Manuel, Melissa, Brad, Chris, Anna, Athena, and Trae; and great-grandchildren Bronxton, Madison, Nariah, and Nalaric.
Meder was born in Jamaica, N.Y., to Werner and Anna Maeder on Oct. 11, 1935. She attended Suffolk Community College and was a lifelong member of the Order of the Eastern Star.
She and her husband, Fred, previously lived in New York, Pennsylvania, and New Jersey before becoming winter residents of Vero Beach and summer residents of Danville, Va.
They were members of Ascension Lutheran Church in Danville, Va., and Our Savior Lutheran Church in Vero Beach. Meder was very involved in the Lutheran Church where she volunteered at both locations, serving on the Chrismons Ministry Committee, support Committee, and Craft Committees.
