INDIAN RIVER SHORES — One person was airlifted to an area hospital following a collision on A1A in Indian River Shores Wednesday morning.
The driver of a red car attempted to pass a FedEX truck on A1A near Palm Island Plantation when it crashed into a telephone pole.
The pole was visibly damaged by the collision.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation. Names of those involved were not immediately known.
Drivers in the area are encouraged to use caution while authorities investigate and clear the scene.
