Vetrece Jones, 82, of Vero Beach, passed away quietly in her sleep on Oct. 12, 2015, at her home.
She is survived by five of her children, Eugene (Jane) VanVynckt of Plymouth, Ind., Susan (Jim) Baker of Okuhumpka, Fla., Diana Starkey of Columbus, Ind., Philip (Carol) VanVynckt of Vero Beach, Lisa (Jamie) Davis of Auburndale, Fla.; 19 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her son, Jeffrey VanVynckt.
Born in Mishawaka, Ind. she moved to Vero Beach in 1972 from Edwardsburg, Mich. She loved her church family at First Church of God of Vero Beach, where she attended since 1998.
A Going Home Celebration will be held at First Church of God, 1105 58th Avenue, Vero Beach, on Saturday, Nov. 14 at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Senior Resource Association Adult Day Care, 686 14th Street. Vero Beach, FL 32960.
