Barbara E. Clark, Vero Beach

Barbara E. Clark, of Vero Beach, passed away on Oct. 31, 2015, as a result of pancreatic cancer.

She is survived her husband Robert Clark; daughters Paula Richards and Teresa Richards of Grand Rapids, Mich., and Susan Dulany, of Rockville Md.; her son in-law Joseph Dulany; her stepsons John Clark and William Clark of New Jersky and Richard Clark of Sebastian; her sister Mary Sue Pletcher of Maryland; and her friend Connie Wellman of Florida. Clark had three grandchildren that she adored: Melissa Broek, Brennis Dulany, and Cameron Dulany.

Clark earned her Master’s Degree from Wayne State University and taught for 10 years in the Detroit Public School System. Later, she entered the newly created field of Gerontology. Her pie-making fund raisers for the Area Agency on Aging in Southfield , Mich. were legendary.

She was a frequent volunteer for the Riverside Theater in Vero Beach and Sunrise Theater in Fort Pierce. She was a member of the Michigan State Alumni Association and an ardent Spartans fan. You could always find her outside, at the ocean, boating on the lagoon, or riding her bike. Her greatest joy, however, was dancing at the Vero Beach Community Center with her husband Robert Clark

Clark was born in Marysville, Mich., to Stanley and Melissa Hardman and will be interred there at the River Lawn Cemetery later in the year.

A memorial service will be held at The Community Church of Vero Beach on Nov. 10, 2015, at 3 p.m.

A gathering after the memorial will be held at the Vera Cruz complex club house at 5151 N. A1A, Vero Beach.
