Brooke Clark Tagney, 72, Vero Beach

Brooke Clark Tagney, 72, of Vero Beach, passed away peacefully on Oct. 30, with her loving husband at her side.

She is survived by her husband, Ronald, of 52 years; daughter Lisa Brookes (George) Whitney, of Marion Mass.; son John Greenleaf Tagney, of Newburyport, Mass.; two grandchildren, George H. Whitney and Elizabeth B. Whitney; and two brothers, Daniel B. (Carole) Clark of Yarmouth, Maine and John S. (Kay) Clark of San Francisco, Calif.

Tagney was the daughter of Daniel B. Clark and Jane Brookes Clark, born June 25, 1943 in Norwalk, Conn. She was a graduate of Rogers Hall School and attended Endicott College. She was married to Ronald N. Tagney since 1963. They lived in West Newbury, Mass., for more than 30 years. In 1996 they purchased a home in the Moorings, Vero Beach, where they began to live year round about 2002.

Tagney was an active member of St. Mark’s Anglican Church.

She was a devoted mother and always supportive of her husband and children, most of all, as a friend and cheerleader.

She will be deeply missed.

A Requiem Mass will be held at St. Mark’s Anglican Church located at 1795 45th Street, on Saturday, Nov. 7 at 10 a.m.

At a later date, graveside services will be held at the Oak Hill Cemetery in Newburyport, Mass.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Mark’s Anglican Church, PO Box 6994, Vero Beach, FL 32961.
