Charles E. Williams, 91, Fellsmere

Charles E. Williams, 91, of Fellsmere, passed away on Oct. 28, 2015, at Lawnwood Regional Medical Center in Fort Pierce.

He is survived by his son Charles Williams (Gladys) of Fellsmere; daughter Becky Madon (Major) of Mapelton, Utah; three grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 64 years, Edith in 2010 and daughter Kathy Sue in 2003.

Williams was a US Army veteran and stormed the beach on D-Day at Normandy and was wounded in France.

He retired from Piper Aircraft and was an avid bee keeper.

He was a member of 20th Avenue Church of God, Vero Beach and also attended River of Life Church of God in Fellsmere. He was active in the Gideons, was a Lay Preacher at Indian River County Jail for more than 30 years, a member of the Vero Beach Volunteer Ambulance Squad during the 1960’s and a volunteer fireman in LaCroft, Ohio.

A visitation will be held 10 to 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 3, 2015 at the River of Life Church of God, Pine Street, Fellsmere. Services will start at 11 a.m. at the church. Interment will be in Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, Fort Pierce. An online guest book is available at www.strunkfuneralhome.com.
