Indian River County Democratic Executive Committee hosts Gala Nov. 7

INDIAN RIVER COUNTY — The Indian River County Democratic Executive Committee will host its Annual Gala on Saturday, Nov. 7, 2015, at the Courthouse Executive Center in downtown Vero Beach.

Gala festivities will kick off at 5:30 p.m. with cash bar and a silent auction. A fully catered dinner will be served at 6 p.m. followed with keynote speaker Val Demings who was co-chair of the Florida Democratic Party’s “Lead Task Force” and former Orlando Chief of Police.

After 24 years in law enforcement, Demings was appointed as the first female Chief of Police in the city of Orlando. Most recently, Demings has announced her candidacy for the Congressional District 10 seat which will be vacated by Rep. Alan Grayson who is running for the U. S. Senate.

Popular band, Ladies of SOUL, will change the evening’s tempo with live entertainment and dancing. Silent Auction items will include golf packages, gift certificates, themed gift baskets and more.
